Entercom has launched a new sports outlet, “1550 The Game” KGMZ San Francisco, which will simulcast programming content from “95.7 The Game” KGMZ-FM. The new “Game” in town will also air Oakland A’s baseball when there is a conflict with Golden State Warriors basketball on KGMZ-FM.

The Trump administration has ushered in a deregulatory breeze at the Federal Communications Commission where several legacy rules are being modernized or abolished altogether. But the same spirit doesn’t seem to be overtaking the Justice Department, where, one year into the administration, its antitrust review team continues to cast a skeptical eye toward media deal-making.
That’s become most evident as Sinclair Broadcast Group has sought to win approval of its $3.9 billion acquisition of Tribune Media, a deal that includes Chicago’s heritage news-talker WGN (720).
